Panama low cost airline – Wingo
Panama low cost airline will be leaving Panama with direct flights to four cities. The destinations of Wingo, from Panama, are: San José (Costa Rica), Cali, Medellín and Bogota, three cities of Colombia. From the last destination the Panamanians will be able to make connections to the 16 cities that Wingo arrives.
The first flight of the Colombian airline Wingo, a subsidiary of Copa Holdings, arrived in Panama the morning of December 1st, at the Panama Pacifico airport.
The first Wingo plane, a 737-700 with capacity for 142 passengers in a cabin, landed at the airport in Panama Pacifico and was received by the tourism authorities of Panama.
The President of the Republic, Juan Carlos Varela, from his Twitter account welcomed the new airline. “Welcome to Panama this new airline and its passengers: enjoy the wonders of our country!” Wrote the president once landed the ship.
Panama Tourism Administrator Gustavo Him, who was present at the arrival of the flight, said that the arrival of airline Wingo proves once again that Panama is the best point of connection in the world.
While Carolina Bretol, who is the general leader of Wingo, from the airport El Dorado in Bogotá, explained that the new option presented to Panamanians is to fly more.
